Shannan Corey will succeed Katherine Strutt as the executive director of the Saskatchewan Pension Plan.
A 30-year veteran of the pension sector, Corey most recently served as the founder and CEO of Corey HR Consulting and as a board director of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation’s pension and benefits board. Previously, she was a board vice-president at the Co-operative Superannuation Society pension plan, a director of total rewards at Federated Co-operatives Ltd. and was a senior consultant at Aon for 24 years.
Strutt, who has held the top job at the pension fund since 1990, will retire at the end of June.
“I’d like to welcome Shannan to the Saskatchewan Pension Plan. I look forward to her taking a leadership role and to helping to ease her transition over the next month,” says Strutt.
