Johnston Group is partnering with PocketPills to provide a digital pharmacy platform.
Plan members can access a pharmacist seven days a week by live chat or text message via the platform. “This partnership . . . continues to provide members truly flexible . . . benefits solutions in an ever-growing virtual world,” said Dave Angus, president of Johnston Group, in a press release.
The coronavirus pandemic has sped up the ongoing shift of plan sponsors looking to offer members digital options, as Harj Samra, co-founder and chief revenue office at PocketPills, noted in the release. “Virtual pharmacy will play a big part in virtual health care as it expands.”
