Dr. Amer Johri, professor, department of medicine, Queen’s University

Dr. Amer Johri is a professor at Queen’s University in the department of medicine. He joined the echo lab at Queen’s University in 2010 after completing Level III training at Harvard University Medical School. He is a Heart and Stroke Foundation-funded clinician scientist, founder and director of the Cardiovascular Imaging Network at Queen’s, the POCUS Journal and Queen’s echo fellowship program.

Dr. Johri is a member of the CSE executive board. He was a board member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the world’s largest CV imaging society and was chair of the ASE POCUS Task Force and of the ASE Vascular Council. He has chaired multiple guidelines and has a wide area of research interests including AI in vascular risk stratification and POCUS. He is director of the Kingston Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinic and has a keen interest in pulmonary hypertension education and quality control in the echo lab.
