CI Financial has reached an agreement to acquire a majority interest in Marret Asset Management.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CI is purchasing 65% of the Toronto-based firm, along with an option to acquire the remainder after three years.
Marret, which was founded by Barry Allan in 2001, invests in high-yield bonds and investment-grade corporate debt for institutional and retail clients.
