Kirby Smith is currently in the role of director access, private markets for Pfizer Canada. He is a pharmacist by profession with post graduate training in pharmaco-economics and outcomes research. This combined with a broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including leadership roles in market access, health policy and stakeholder relations provides him a unique perspective when navigating Canada’s complex drug reimbursement environment. He is known by his colleagues and external stakeholders as someone who takes pride in being approachable, authentic and collaborative in his efforts to advance major initiatives and partnerships to ensure Canadians have appropriate access to novel medicines and vaccines.

Smith currently resides in Vancouver, B.C. with his wife and two adult children. He is an avid participant in water-related activities, particularly paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing as well as all things barbeque.
