Six Quebec municipalities are among Canada’s top 10 locations for work-life balance, according to a new report by real estate research firm Point2.

The report analyzed Canada’s 100 largest cities using data from Statistics Canada’s 2021 census and ranked each municipality based on 30 metrics covering work intensity, health and well-being and liveability.

It ranked Lévis, Que. at No. 1 with a score of 69.61 out of 100, followed closely by Quebec City at No. 2, with a score of 67.12. Indeed, across all Quebec municipalities analyzed in the report, 95 per cent of residents reported feeling satisfied with their lives overall.

The top 10 was rounded out by the District of North Vancouver, B.C. (65.88), Burlington, Ont. (65.52), Blainville, Que. (64.73), Aurora, Ont. (64.18), Trois-Rivières, Que. (63.85), Laval, Que. (63.76), Granby, Que. (62.94) and Newmarket, Ont. (62.82).

By comparison, the highest-ranking cities in other provinces included St. John’s (60.79), Fredericton (59.73), Halifax (54.27), Strathcona County, Alta. (52.88), Regina, (50.55) and Winnipeg (43.64).
