SHEPP appoints CEO

The Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees’ Pension Plan (SHEPP) has appointed Alison McKay as CEO.

She has served in the role on an interim basis since 2013 after former CEO Brad Garvey left the organization due to a sudden and unexpected illness.

“Alison brings the ideal combination of experience and expertise to meet the challenges ahead through a proven record of operational leadership, strategy development, financial management, team building and relationship management,” says SHEPP board of trustees chair Jim Tomkins. “Under Alison’s leadership, SHEPP is embarking upon a very exciting new phase of growth and development.”

Prior to her appointment as interim CEO in 2013, McKay’s previous roles included chief financial officer, director of finance and administration, and operations manager. Before joining SHEPP, she held various pension administration and financial management roles with SaskTel and SaskEnergy.
