Boris Kovtunenko, senior vice-president, head of implementation research, Acadian Asset Management

Boris Kovtunenko joined Acadian in 2013 and is the head of implementation research. His previous experience includes working as partner and co-founder of Blue Fir Capital, a long/short U.S. equity hedge fund. Prior to Blue Fir Capital, he was a manager in research at Arrowstreet Capital, overseeing various quantitative research projects for the global equities business. Kovtunenko earned a doctorate degree in economics from Harvard University, a master’s of arts in economics from the New Economics School and a master’s of science in physics from Moscow State University.
