The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is appointing Priti Singh (pictured) as senior managing director and chief risk officer.

Singh, who most recently served as senior managing director and global head of capital markets and factor investing, will replace Kristen Walters, who’s leaving the CPPIB after more than 30 years in risk management.

The investment organization is also promoting Heather Tobin as senior managing director and global head of capital markets and factor investing. In a press release, John Graham, president and chief executive officer at the CPPIB, said these appointments will position the fund to continue building long-term value.

“Priti’s leadership, knowledge of the fund and experience in investment risk management have been valuable to the [CPPIB’s] senior management team – all attributes that position her well to step into the CRO role. In addition, Heather’s deep experience across multiple departments in the organization makes her ideally suited to take on expanded leadership roles. This promotion demonstrates the bench strength we continue to cultivate throughout the organization.”
