Rausch moves to RBC

RBC Investor & Treasury Services has appointed James Rausch as head of banks, brokers and exchanges—transaction banking.

He will be based in Toronto, with responsibility for relationship management, sales development and product management for the three segments.

Rausch joins the Investor & Treasury Services operating committee and will report to chief operating officer Chris Seip.

He has more than 25 years of experience and was most recently at Powerex, a participant in energy markets across North America. Prior to this, Rausch held a number of senior roles in Infoware Software, the Toronto Stock Exchange and TD Bank.

“Strengthening our leading offering in Canada for transaction banking and ancillary services to financial institutions and institutional investors is a major component of our global strategy,” says Harry Samuel, CEO of RBC Investor & Treasury Services. “James will bring considerable experience to our team, and we are excited by the benefit to our service and value proposition for banks, brokers and exchanges.”
