Jeff Bastien is experienced legal counsel at Dentons Canada LLP, where he provides strategic guidance and legal advice to employers to help them effectively manage their workplace, resolve sensitive legal matters and limit liabilities. He primarily works with human resources professionals, management and in-house counsel to address legal issues related to workplace matters, including recruitment, hiring and termination; employment contracts and workplace policies; employment standards; occupational health and safety and workers’ compensation; human rights and the duty to accommodate; and privacy.

In addition to providing strategic advice and supporting proactive risk management, Bastien regularly represents clients in employment-related litigation and disputes, having appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and various administrative boards and tribunals, including the Labour Relations Board, the Employment Standards Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
