News reports say the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) are close to a deal to acquire Loral Space & Communications.
Loral owns a majority stake in Telesat, a Canadian satellite communications company.
PSP currently owns 35.3% of Telesat and 66.7% of the voting power.

Loral’s stock closed up 7.2% on Monday after news of possible acquisition was reported.
