The good times are over, says Bill Gross

Bond guru Bill Gross predicts 2015 won’t be a very good year.

“When the year is done, there will be minus signs in front of returns for many asset classes,” he writes in his investment outlook. “The good times are over.”

The portfolio manager of the Janus Global Unconstrained Bond Fund says there comes a time when zero-based yields fail to generate sufficient economic growth.

And when developed and emerging market economies sputter, Gross says financial markets will follow.

“Be cautious and content with low positive returns in 2015,” he concludes. “The time for risk-taking has passed.”
