Mark Wisniewski has joinied Sprott Asset Management as a senior portfolio manager.
Wisniewski is a fixed income specialist with experience in portfolio management and the trading and analysis of debt securities. He has managed several large fixed income mandates at some of Canada’s leading asset managers.
Wisniewski was most recently with Davis Rea, where he ran his long/short credit strategy for high new worth and institutional clients.
He has also worked at Gluskin Sheff + Associates, Fairlane Asset Management, TD Securities, Goldman Sachs Inc. and BMO Nesbitt Burns.
Wisniewski’s appointment comes at a time when alternative asset manager Sprott is looking to diversify its offerings from gold and commodities and include a variety of equity- and credit-driven investment funds, mainstream and alternative, and long and short.
