Ontario Teachers’ makes further appointments

Following the appointment of a new CIO in January and a reshuffling of its investment team last week, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has made a number of additional changes.

  • Dale Burgess, who joined OTPP in 1996, has been promoted to vice-president, Infrastructure Latin American. He leads the team, which is responsible for both transaction execution and asset management activities in the region’s utilities, power and transportation sectors.
  • Bogan Cenanovic, who joined OTPP in 2009, has been promoted to vice-president, Technology, Media & Telecom. He leads direct private equity investments in the technology, media and telecom sectors. His team focuses on subsectors such as enterprise software solutions, communications infrastructure, and technology enabled services.
  • Michael Murray, who joined OTPP in 2005, has been promoted to vice-president, Financial Services. He leads direct private equity investments in the financial services sector. His team focuses on subsectors such as property and casualty insurance, asset and wealth management, specialty finance, and payments.
  • Chris Schindler, who joined OTPP in 200, has been promoted to vice-president, Portfolio Management & Asset Allocation. He is responsible for portfolio management and asset allocation within Portfolio Construction. His team develops insights and recommendations on the asset allocation decision, including tactical changes to the asset mix weightings and composition, as well as the currency policy.
  • Robert De Santis, who joined OTPP in 1998, has been promoted to vice-president, Solution Engineering. He is responsible for IT solution design and development, and maintenance of business applications in use at OTPP.
