The 2016 Ontario Budget, which was announced on Feb. 25, said the committee, which was appointed in April 2015, is currently concluding its regional public consultations, stakeholder meetings and online survey.

“The broad consultation approach will support recommended actions for business, government, labour and all Ontarians to address the impacts of the gender wage gap on women at work, in their families and in their communities,” the budget said.
“The Gender Wage Gap Strategy builds on progress made by the government to strengthen women’s economic opportunities and address barriers preventing women’s full participation in the labour force.”
