A breakdown in negotiations around a modified pension plan for warehouse workers of Brault & Martineau has resulted in the lockout of warehouse employees, according to the CBC.
Some 220 employees at the furniture seller’s distribution centre in Montreal East were locked out of a 7 p.m. shift on Sunday.

According to the article, employees have been offered a modified pension plan by the company, but have been without a contract since Jan. 1.
The workers’ union, UFCW, said it will meet today.
