Douglas Moodie has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of the Nova Scotia Pension Services Corp. after serving in the role on an interim basis since October 2016.

“While serving as interim CEO, Doug has proven himself to be an exemplary leader with extensive knowledge of and expertise in public sector pension plans,” John Carter, co-chair of the board, said in a statement. “We are confident in Doug’s ability to successfully lead Pension Services Corp. into the future.”
Moodie worked as a partner at Miller Thomson LLP in Toronto for 15 years and joined the Nova Scotia Department of Justice as a senior solicitor in 2004. While there, he was instrumental in restructuring the governance framework and policy for the provincial public service superannuation plan and was involved in the creation of the Nova Scotia Pension Services Corp.
