Canadian digital benefits platform League has introduced a virtual care platform that delivers online health services to employees.
The service allows employees who are members of League’s platform to chat with registered nurses through their mobile devices. Employees can also connect to doctors and specialists for consultations, diagnosis and treatment plans through a Canadian virtual care platform offered by Dialogue Technologies Inc.

League has partnered with Dialogue to deliver the service to employees in British Columbia and Ontario. Access and use of the platform does come at an additional cost for employers, though it depends on their plan with League.
The company is testing the service until December and may roll out the offering in other provinces depending on the pilot’s results.
“Part of the complexity of this sector is the fragmented view consumers have between their benefits and the wider range of health-care services,” said Lori Casselman, chief health officer at League. “Our shared vision for a more integrated model made Dialogue the right first partner to help deliver access to quality care for our members.”

Employees also have access to prescription handling services and their personal health record through the platform, said Cherif Habib, co-founder and chief executive officer of Dialogue. “This is a big step towards combining dedicated providers with leading-edge technology for consumers.”
