Franklin Templeton appoints new VP of defined contribution and retirement

Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. has appointed Matthew Streeter as vice-president of defined contribution and retirement.

With 16 years of investment management and banking experience, Streeter joins the company’s institutional team in Toronto. Previously, he worked as a senior capital markets strategist at FinancialCAD Corp. He has also held development and consultant roles at the Bank of America and Deutsche Asset Management.

“With the growth and increasing challenges in the defined contribution space, asset managers must provide investment solutions that meet the evolving and complex needs of institutional investors,” said Duane Green, president and chief executive officer of Franklin Templeton Investments Canada, in a news release.
