SurveyMonkey Inc. is introducing health benefits, improved time-off policies and transportation subsidies for its contract employees and those who work with the company through third-party commercial services.
Working with California-based i2i Benefits and Insurance Services, the company developed a benefits framework for its on-site contract workers and vendor partners, including its janitorial and food service providers. The company will initially roll out the new benefits at its San Mateo, Calif., head office, according to a press release.

The new health benefits include employer-sponsored medical, dental and vision plans. The new time-off policy includes 80 hours of vacation, 40 hours of paid sick time, seven company holidays, 12 weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of paid medical leave each year. In addition, contractor and vendor workers will receive a monthly subsidy up to $260 for public transit expenses.
“Our extended workforce makes an impact on our company every day. From the incredible chefs in our kitchen, to the janitorial staff who keep our office beautiful and contractors who help shoulder the load as we grow, our vendors play a vital role in SurveyMonkey’s success,” said Becky Cantieri, chief people officer at SurveyMonkey.
“We’re thrilled to work with our valued partners to bring a new standard of health benefits to support our family of contractors and on-site services and hope it inspires others to do the same.”
