The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has appointed Dale Burgess as senior managing director of infrastructure and natural resources.
Burgess has been serving as interim head of infrastructure and natural resources since February and will assume the permanent role immediately.

In the new role, Burgess will oversee the plan’s infrastructure acquisitions and asset management around the world, as well as its investments in the areas of oil and gas, minerals, timberland and agriculture.
Burgess has been with the plan since 1996, recently serving as managing director of infrastructure and natural resources in Latin America.
“Dale’s more than 15 years of experience on the infrastructure team, combined with his proven ability to cultivate strong relationships across the fund, with current and prospective partners, make him ideally suited to take on this role,” said Ron Mock, president and chief executive officer at Ontario Teachers’.
