Co-operators Life Insurance Company has launched a new platform for drug, dental and extended health claims adjudication.
It includes the capability to provide online dental claims submission and a fully integrated Co-operators pay direct drug card and pharmacy benefit management capabilities.
The company has been accepting claims from new group benefits clients through this system since the beginning of January. Existing clients and their dependents will be converted to the new system by the end of June 2008.
“This phase is an important first step in confirming to the market that we are in the health and dental business and positions us for success in the future,” says Janice Wallace, vice-president, group benefits. “But more importantly it will allow us to provide even better service to our clients in the years ahead through the provision of web-based services and cost-containment options.”
