Yuan as a reserve currency in five years?

gold chinaThe yuan will become a reserve currency in five years according to Mark Mobius from Templeton Asset Management. The emerging markets guru spoke to Bloomberg about the state of the global economy and stressed his belief that the U.S. is not headed into a recession. As global equities tumbled in recent weeks, Mobius is also setting his sights on some lower profile emerging markets, in particular Thailand and Indonesia. He’s been buying up Thai stock in recent months.
