The investment will aid the metal manufacturing company with its technology for the industrial sector, including aeronautics and medical products.
The Boucherville, Quebec-based firm has developed a new technology for the manufacturing of metal parts by powder injection molding in order to enhance prototyping and accelerate transferability to high-volume production.
“Maetta has succeeded in adapting this technology so that it can be used right from the development stage and has made it accessible to industries whose annual production volumes do not justify conventional molding, which gives it a unique position on the market,” says Yves Cusson, the Caisse’s vice-president of investments, mid-sized businesses.
