Manulife is rewarding its group benefit and individual insurance members of its Vitality health and wellness program who receive the coronavirus vaccine with points.
The Manulife Vitality program encourages Canadians to get healthier and awards vitality points, which members can use to achieve new status levels and unlock different rewards, noted a press release. And this spring, the program’s members can share proof of their coronavirus vaccination in exchange for 400 vitality points.

“The pandemic has had a significant impact on people’s health and mental well-being,” said Mike Doughty, president and chief executive officer of Manulife Canada, in the release. “Rewarding positive actions such as supporting the COVID-19 vaccine is one more way we’re showing up to support the health of individuals, their families and communities across Canada.”
This new effort to reward Canadians comes on the heels of several employers in North America giving paid time off to employees who get the coronavirus vaccine. And Saskatchewan recently became the first Canadian province or territory to offer employees in that province paid coronavirus-vaccine leave.
