Manulife names managing directors on institutional sales team

Manulife Asset Management has named two new managing directors on its Canadian institutional sales team: Mark K. Bandola and Les J. Young. The appointments were effective on Feb. 14, 2012.

Bandola joined the firm as managing director responsible for institutional sales and business development in Western Canada, based in the firm’s Calgary office. Young has been named managing director in charge of institutional sales in small and mid-markets across Canada, for clients with between $5 million and $100 million in assets. He is based in the firm’s Toronto office.

Bandola was previously vice-president of business development for Western Canada with Franklin Templeton Institutional. Prior to that, he held positions with Maritime Life Assurance, Jones Heward Investment Counsel (BMO Financial Group) and Sun Life Financial.

Young was formerly a director of fixed income product management and marketing manager with Manulife Asset Management. Young has also held various sales and product management positions with affiliates of Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group.
