Toronto EAP association to close down

The board of the Employee Assistance Program Association of Toronto has voted for its disbandment, citing rising costs, competing events and the amalgamation of several employee assistance program organizations.

“We want to thank our members and participants for their support over the years,” wrote Peter MacDonald, president of the EAPAT board of directors, in a letter posted on the EAPAT website.

“We have really enjoyed bringing you speakers that have been timely, interesting and engaging to share their knowledge and expertise. We hope you have enjoyed attending the sessions as much as we have in planning them.”

The EAPAT site will be taken down on Sept. 1, 2017.
