Hub International Canada West is entering a strategic agreement with National Bank Insurance Firm Inc. to acquire all of NBIF’s group insurance activities based in Edmonton.
“We are excited the group insurance services team of NBIF has joined us and will help strengthen our employee benefits solutions for [plan sponsor] clients in Western Canada,” said Kevin Rome, president of employee benefits at Hub, in a press release.

Peter D. Thompson, president of NBIF, noted the partnership with Hub will provide the organization’s plan sponsor clients with a wider suite of products and services, as well as a larger pool of resources and experts.
