BCI investing in U.S. aerospace finishing company

The British Columbia Investment Management Corp., alongside ATL Partners, are acquiring Valence Surface Technologies Inc., a Houston-based aerospace surface finishing platform.

The company has eight facilities in the U.S. and provides treatments like plating, painting and spray coating aerospace and defence assets that need complex finishing to meet engineering specifications, including for Airbus, Boeing Co., Lockheed Martin Corp. and Space Exploration Technologies Corp.

“Valence Surface Technologies is a well-managed leader in the aerospace industry and BCI looks forward to supporting the business through its next phase of growth,” said Jason Cawley, senior portfolio manager for private equity at BCI, in a press release.

“This investment aligns with our clients’ long-term objectives to invest in companies with solid management teams and strong growth potential.”
