At the upcoming Global Investment Conference in April, Robert L. Goldstein, Managing Director and head of BlackRock Solutions will discuss why traditional analytics and approaches to risk management failed, review the key lessons learned and provide thoughts on risk management best practices in the new world.
Goldstein is a member of the organization’s operating, leadership and global client committees. Since the inception of BlackRock Solutions, Robert has played a key role in developing and providing innovative products and services to large institutional investors around the world.
Prior to his current position, he was the head of the BlackRock Solutions Relationship Management and Business Development Groups responsible for all client servicing, implementations and business development activities. He began his career in 1994 as an analyst in BlackRock’s Portfolio Analytics Group and then started working as a risk advisor to mortgage and insurance clients. In that role, he was involved in the development of the infrastructure and processes used to model and analyze client portfolios. Robert earned a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, in economics from Binghamton University in 1994.
