Raymond joined the CPPIB in 2001 and was the first employee in its public market investment department.
Before that, he was a portfolio manager in the quantitative strategies group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York, which managed one of the world’s largest hedge funds at the time. Raymond began his investment career as a research analyst in the fixed income derivatives department of Burns Fry, a predecessor of BMO Capital Markets.
The CPPIB says a search has already begun for his successor.
