Surviving the Era of Global Restructuring

824093_canadaDelegates are beginning to arrive in Banff, Alberta, as Canadian Investment Review gets ready to kick off the 2011 Global Investment Conference. With an excellent lineup of speakers and an audience packed with Canada’s top pension talent, this year’s event promises to be the best so far. Our theme – Surviving in an Era of Global Restructuring – is an important one as economists and investors alike struggle to make sense of a changing global economic landscape.

We’ll be writing and blogging from the event and adding a few new features to our coverage, including a new and improved online video format. This year, you’ll be able to see and hear speakers and delegates discuss their top concerns around global investing, broadcast right from Banff. Tomorrow morning, coverage will begin with keynote speaker, Dev Kar, who will talk about the need to improve the statistics and data generated by international organizations like the IMF – maintaining the status quo will mean we can expect more sovereign debt crises in the future.

Stay tuned….
