Andrew Claerhout is joining Searchlight Capital Partners, L.P. as a partner, where he’ll share responsibility for leading the firm’s infrastructure investments.
Claerhout previously spent nearly 13 years at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he was most recently head of infrastructure and natural resources. During his time at Ontario Teachers’, he was also responsible for establishing and leadings its London office and developed its Europe, Middle East and Africa private capital strategy
“I am excited to be joining the Searchlight team,” said Claerhout, in a press release. “I have long been impressed by both the investment philosophy and the culture of the firm. I am looking forward to working with the Searchlight team to identify attractive investments in the infrastructure space across North America and Europe.”
Searchlight is a global private investment firm with over $7 billion in assets under management.
