Patricia Lee, founder, Canadian Women with Fibroids

Patricia Lee is a uterine fibroids patient and has first-hand experience with the challenges associated with this diagnosis. In 2012, she founded Canadian Women with Fibroids, a federally registered non-profit organization that enables women to contribute to research and data provided to physicians, pharmaceutical manufacturers and governments to advance the treatment of uterine fibroids.

An entrepreneur with a background in journalism, Lee began her business journey by establishing — and later selling — a chain of mobile communications stores in British Columbia. In 1999, she co-founded Coolcom.com, one of Canada's first certified internet domain registries.
