Nicole Mellin is the executive director at the AOM Benefits Trust, responsible for leading the strategic, governance and operational lines of business reporting to a board of trustees. The AOM Benefits Trust supports the financial, physical, spiritual and mental well-being of midwives in Ontario and their families as well as other employer groups connected to midwifery in the province.

Mellin has held executive roles at the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Roots of Empathy and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She has more than 30 years’ experience developing and implementing programs and resources for persons with disabilities, equity-deserving groups, caregivers and families. In 2022, she served on the Benefits Canada Healthcare Survey advisory board. Mellin continues to be involved in committees to support persons with disabilities and equity-deserving groups as well as volunteering regularly and locally within her community.
