Stephanie Braid, director, inclusion, diversity and equity, KPMG in Canada

Stephanie Braid is the director of inclusion, diversity and equity at KPMG in Canada, leading the inclusion, diversity, equity and mental-health strategy and portfolio for Canada, contributing at both a national and global level.

Braid brings 15 years of diverse leadership experience in DEI, talent management, strategy and operations, leadership, mental health and well-being, data and analytics and employee engagement. She has worked in both the professional services and retail sectors and is a certified human resources leader and a certified compensation professional designations.

Braid sits on KPMG Global’s inclusion and diversity steering group. She’s an advisory member of the KPMG Foundation, a member of Ascend Canada’s Chief Inclusion Officer Forum to support pan-Asian talent and a member of ACCES Employment Board of Advisors for their human resources bridging program for newcomers to Canada. As a board member of the YW of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont., one of the region’s largest not-for-profits, she supports their mission to empower women, girls and non-binary people in key areas such as homelessness, employment, and leadership.
