Tammy Thieman, global director, Career Choice, Amazon

Tammy Thieman is the global director of Career Choice, Amazon's largest upskilling program live in 14 countries. She has extensive experience in workforce development and has led innovative initiatives to expand access to skills training and economic mobility opportunities for Amazon's frontline workers. During her eight-year tenure at Amazon, she has launched the company's first Department of Labor-registered apprenticeship program, supported veteran hiring in technology and was named a 2023 economic mobility fellow for the Aspen Institute, where she developed an investment model to scale Amazon's paid education benefits. Under Thieman's leadership, the Career Choice program has upskilled more than 200,000 employees globally, helping to address critical skills gaps in the communities where Amazon operates.
