Christie Stephenson, executive director, Peter P. Dhillon centre for business ethics, University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business
Since 2016, Christie Stephenson has been the executive director of the Peter P. Dhillon centre for business ethics at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. She previously spent more than 15 years working at environmental, social and governance investing firms Sustainalytics, NEI Investments and Rally Assets.
Stephenson has more than two decades of diverse director experience, serving on the boards of companies in a range of industries, from startups to large, mature entities. Her experience also includes both business-to-consumer and business-to-business operating models, as well as non-profit organizations, university governance bodies and a multi-employer pension plan.
She’s currently a director at Vancity, one of Canada’s largest financial cooperatives, and Central 1, a reporting issuer and one of Canada’s domestic, systemically important financial institutions. She’s also a member of the climate governance experts network of the Canadian Climate Law Initiative, the Metro Vancouver Zero Emissions Innovation Centre’s investment committee and the B.C. Securities Commission’s corporate finance stakeholder forum.
Stephenson is a regular television, print and radio media commentator on responsible business and investing.
