James McManus is a managing director for AB CarVal. Based in New York, McManus provides research and analysis supporting investments in the aviation sector. Prior to joining AB CarVal in 2015, he was a managing director of credit trading at the Seaport Group, where he traded aviation-related sectors including EETCs, airlines, lessors, private transactions and restructured/private equity. He was also previously employed with DebtTraders Inc. and Bank of America. McManus earned his master of business administration from Columbia University and a bachelor of arts from Brown University.
