Victor Couture is an assistant professor of economics at the University of British Columbia. He is also a consultant for the World Bank and on the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Geography. His recent work is focused on urban gentrification, spatial inequality and transportation systems. His research has been published in leading academic journals as well as by the New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.
