Karen Callaghan was a registered nurse for more than 35 years. She worked in post-operation surgery, primary care for more than 10 years and, for the past 23 years, in education with the pharmaceutical industry. She has been with Novo Nordisk for 13 years. Callaghan is now a senior director of chronic disease education providing clinical education in diabetes and obesity across Canada.
