Jason Malinowski, chief investment officer, Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System

Jason Malinowski is the chief investment officer of the Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System. Prior to joining the City of Seattle in October 2014, he was a managing director at BlackRock, serving as the head of risk and quantitative analysis for alternative investments. Malinowski received a bachelor of arts in economics and mathematics from New York University and a master’s of arts in policy studies at the University of Washington Bothell. He’s a member of the investment committees for Seattle University and Seattle Foundation and the finance committee for the Fred Hutch Cancer Center.
