Mitesh Sheth, multi-asset chief investment officer, Newton Investment Management

Mitesh Sheth has oversight of Newton Investment Management’s multi-asset and fixed income teams based in London, as well as its quantitative multi-asset solutions team in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Newton, he was chief executive officer at Redington Ltd., for nearly six years, initially joining as director of strategy in 2013. He worked at Henderson Global Investors from 2005 to 2012, where he was head of fixed income and later director of business innovation. He started his career as an investment consultant, specializing in fixed income fund manager research at Aon and WTW.

Sheth, who has been a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 2003, graduated from the London School of Economics in 1999 with a bachelor of science in actuarial science. After graduating, he spent a year in Thane, India studying at Tatvagnan Vidhyapeeth, a school of philosophy.

In 2022, Sheth was recognized as a member of the British Empire for his services to leadership in diversity and inclusion. Outside of work, in addition to spending time with his wife and three teenagers, he spends much of his free time volunteering with a number of U.K.- and India-based charities.
