Natasha Trainor

Natasha Trainor is the assistant vice-president of pension investments for Nav Canada, where she leads the overall investment strategy for $6.5 billion in defined benefit pension assets. She’s a member of Nav Canada’s senior leadership team and is responsible for asset allocation, risk identification and management, portfolio design and implementation as well as investment performance monitoring and reporting.

Prior to moving to Ottawa, Trainor was the chief investment officer at Provident10, where she was responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of Newfoundland and Labrador’s public service pension plan. Originally from Toronto, Trainor began her financial career in investment management at RBC Asset Management with a focus on equity research and stock picking.

Trainor received her master’s of business administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and her bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Queen’s University. She’s a chartered financial analyst and is recognized as a professional engineer in Ontario.
