Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) has appointed Remco van Eeuwijk as chief risk officer, effective May 2, 2016.
With more than 15 years of experience, Van Eeuwijk is a seasoned investment risk management executive with deep knowledge of institutional asset management and global pension markets. Since 2008, he was UK managing director of MN, the third-largest pensions and investment manager in the Netherlands.

Van Eeuwijk continued in this role subsequent to the acquisition of the UK fiduciary management activities of MN by Kempen Capital Management in October 2015. During this period, Remco built out the UK office of MN, and was accountable for the oversight of serving the fiduciary management activities of pension fund clients with assets totaling more than EUR 10 billion.
Prior to joining MN, he was global head of investment risk and performance with ABN AMRO Asset Management in London, where he oversaw a team of 25 risk managers in six global locations. He began his career in risk management at ING Investment Management.
