Benefits Canada staffer wins PMAC Award

The staff at Benefits Canada congratulates associate editor Craig Sebastiano on his PMAC Award for Excellence in Investment Journalism.

He was awarded third prize for an article on investing in emerging markets entitled “Jet-Lagged”.

Portfolio Management Association of Canada (PMAC) represents more than 200 Canadian investment management firms that manage more than $1.4 trillion in assets. PMAC hosts the annual competition to acknowledge journalistic excellence that fosters better understanding of the investment industry and improves Canadians’ financial literacy.

The 2015 winners are:

First Prize:
Bryan Borzykowski is this year’s first prize winner for his article, “Are your Investments at Risk?” in the December 2014 edition of MoneySense. Borzykowski received first prize last year for Canadian Business Investor’s Guide 2014.

Second Prize:
Jade Hemeon, for “The Decade of the ETF” and “Making Sense of the Market” in Investment Executive’s ETF Guide 2014 (May 2014).

Third Prize:
Craig Sebastiano, for “Jet-Lagged” in Benefits Canada (April 2014) .

2015 Honourable Mentions:
