Ed Buffet, president and CEO of Buffett and Company Worksite Wellness, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
A announcement from the company says:
“Ed was truly a man who was larger than life and brought great passion to all he endeavoured. In 1982, he founded Buffett Taylor & Associates, a very successful benefits consulting firm and later turned his contagious energy towards building an innovative workplace wellness consulting practice, Buffett & Company.
Ed was awarded one of the inaugural Who’s Who in HealthCare Awards and was recognized as a Workplace Wellness Pioneer in 2009. He was also the former chair of the board at McMaster University, where he was awarded an honourary doctorate degree in 2006. He was a visionary leader in the field of worksite wellness who worked tirelessly to bring awareness to the importance of creating healthy workplaces; nowhere was this more evident than in our organization. We all feel truly blessed to have worked for such a phenomenal mentor and friend.
Ed took great pride in our products, our client-centered approach and invested greatly in building a strong and dedicated team. We will honour Ed by ensuring that our clients and partners continue to receive the valuable service you’ve grown to expect from Buffett & Company. Ed was loved by many and will truly be missed.”
