Caisse completes Phase 2 of mall expansion

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s real estate subsidiary, Ivanhoé Cambridge, has completed Phase 2 of the expansion of a mall in British Columbia.

The $280-million endeavour has added 213,500 square feet of retail space at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre to accommodate 70 retailers.

The mall is now the largest regional shopping centre south of the Fraser River.

Phase 3 of the redevelopment will add new retailers and is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
