Castille, Ackerley to take on new roles

Chip Castille and Anne Ackerley will have new roles at BlackRock as of Dec. 1.

Castille will become chief retirement strategist, which is a global role and a newly created position.

His service with the firm dates back to 2007, including his years with Barclays Global Investors, which merged with BlackRock in 2009.

Ackerley will replace Castille as the head of BlackRock’s U.S. and Canadian DC business.

She’s currently the chief marketing officer and has held a number of roles over her nearly 15 years with the firm.

Jim Badenhausen, head of corporate communications, will become interim chief marketing officer until a replacement is found.
